Overall Responsibilities:
As the Director of York and Adams Counties for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region your primary responsibilities will include, cultivating relationships with donors, volunteers and community partnerships. While communicating effectively with the Leadership Team, fostering a mission-driven office culture, and overseeing program implementation.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Participate in the selection process for relevant staff positions, in conjunction with the CEO, VP, and Business Manager.
· Provide training, supervision & evaluation, in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
Program Responsibilities:
· Conduct Enrollment Procedures Per National Standards of Practice:
· Meet interview and match goals as established by the agency.
Conduct Match Support Function Per National Standards of Practice
Fundraising/Development:
· Collaborate with Development Director to ensure budgeted goals for fundraising events, corporate solicitations, annual appeals, and grant opportunities specific to York and Adams Counties.
· Collaborate with the Development Director to implement innovative sponsor, donor, and volunteer recognition strategies.
· Lead a team of mission champions dedicated to advancing the organization's fundraising efforts.
· Assist in grant requests to private and corporate foundations, trusts, and public sources.
General Requirements & Skills
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree required; Minimum of 3 years of experience in nonprofit management, program administration, or a related field preferred.
· Preference given to candidates with experience in organizational leadership, program management, and fundraising.
· Demonstrated success in creating and implementing sustained growth strategies in a non-profit or corporate environment.
· Ability to support and guide a community/advisory board, lead a diverse staff, and accomplish organizational goals.
· Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
· Knowledge of the York and Adams Counties community and resources is highly desirable
